my approach

Carmela Sutcliffe strives to provide a supportive, client centered approach to therapy where her clients can explore and overcome barriers to healing and leading their best lives.
Before transitioning to private practice, Carmela’s counselling career was focused on community mental health - supporting children and youth with their mental health needs and supporting their families in their role as caregivers. This experience provided her with a strength in supporting children, youth, and families struggling with trauma, attachment, anxiety, depression, addictions, and other mental health issues. She also has experience working with adults with a history of addictions and incarcerations as well as with youth having high risk behaviours.
